Utah winters are tough on anyone without a warm coat. This fall, Red Hanger Cleaners is proud to be a drop-off location for the 14th annual Warm Bodies, Warm Souls clothing drive, and all 13 of our stores are ready to take your winter clothing donations.

October 19 to November 20, 2026

Bring in a coat, a blanket, or a whole bag of winter gear, and we’ll thank you with a voucher for a free shirt cleaning or a free double cheeseburger.

Warm Bodies, Warm Souls is a community effort from Bank of Utah, Arctic Circle, and Red Hanger Cleaners.

Most of us have something in the closet we haven’t touched in a year. A coat that no longer fits. A blanket still folded from last winter. A pair of gloves nobody remembers buying.

For a family heading into a Utah winter without the right gear, those same items can make a real difference.

Everything collected through the drive goes to Utah charities that provide winter clothing to local individuals and families. When you donate through the Red Hanger Cleaners clothing drive, your generosity stays right here in your community.

A quick tip before you pack up: make sure everything is clean and in good condition. A good rule of thumb is that if you’d feel good handing it to a friend, it’s ready to donate.

Check your closets, coat racks, and linen cupboards for anything on the list above. Set aside the pieces that are clean and in good shape.

Choose a Convenient Store

With 13 locations across Salt Lake, Davis, Weber, and Utah counties, there’s a good chance a Red Hanger is already on your way to work or school. Already a customer? Just bring your donation along with your next dry cleaning drop-off.

Drop It Off and Get Your Voucher

Bring your donation to any Red Hanger Cleaners during store hours between October 19 and November 20, 2026. Our team will take it from there and give you your thank-you voucher.

Looking for a place to donate coats in Utah? Every Red Hanger Cleaners location below is accepting donations through November 20.

All locations except Farmington:

Monday through Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Farmington:

Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
All locations are closed on Sundays.

Frequently Asked Questions

A Few Answers Before You Donate

Can I donate gently used items?

Yes. Coats, scarves, blankets, hats, gloves, and socks can be new or gently used, as long as they’re clean and in good condition. Underwear must be new.

What do I get for donating?

When you drop off a donation at Red Hanger Cleaners, you’ll receive a voucher for a free shirt cleaning or a free double cheeseburger. It’s our way of saying thanks.

Where does my donation go?

Donations go to Utah charities that provide winter clothing and other essentials to individuals and families in need. Last year, the drive supported 15 local charities.

Can I donate somewhere other than Red Hanger?

Yes. Participating Arctic Circle and Bank of Utah locations throughout Utah are also collecting donations. Whichever spot is easiest for you, your donation supports the same drive.

When is the last day to donate?

The drive ends November 20, 2026. Our stores are closed on Sundays, so plan your drop-off for a weekday or Saturday.
